Edwardian Cream Wool with Turquoise Velvet Coat

Dating around 1910, this elaborate, lace inserted shawl collared coat with turquoise velvet neckline is a thing of beauty! Enveloping your neck is the most beautiful soft silk velvet collar with ruffle and velvet ties, beribboned and accented with handtied fringe. This collar closes with a gorgeous mother of pearl steel cut oval jeweled button. The flared sleeves are tucked and scalloped edged. The hemline has four tucks which wrap around the coat. Condition is very good. Lining to turquoise velvet is splitting on underside. Minor moth damage with largest (1/4 inch) hole on left front. About six other pencil point holes throughout. The coat is lined in silk crepe, perfect condition. What a statement to make at your holiday party or to add another beautiful piece to your antique clothing collection! Shoulder to shoulder is 13 inches. Bustline is 42 inches. Hips are 60 inches. From shoulder to hem is 51 inches. Armhole opening is 18 inches around. Scalloped opening at wrist flares to 14 inches.
